typo, and JG, have you set the Totem preference to resume where you left
off?  The Preferences are under the Edit menu (which admittedly never
made sense to me :) , and the first screen shows you a checkbox:

  Start playing files from last position.

I suggest you try this option.  It's possible that some codecs are not
as well supported for resume, but in general this is a feature that
exists.

If you want something beyond the resume feature, when you say "It should
be somehow marked", then like Sebastian said, try filing an upstream bug
for the feature request, and link it here.

(And in that case, JG's bug 885381 would not be just the same as this,
and that one can be closed.)

  clicked on time on the wrong point, then I have to look for my orginal
