  install/upgrade: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured

Status in “network-manager-applet” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Upon upgrading network-manager via synaptic or the GNOME update
  manager, the keyboard (PS/2) stops responding and no more applications
  will open.  Mouse (USB) is still functioning.  Ubuntu is version 7.10
  Tribe 3 after a couple of successful updates (via cabled ethernet).
  Wireless network device uses zd1211rw module.  Uname and dmesg
  follows:
