After I uninstalled the libreoffice dmath extension from synaptic, I could not open any (writer) documents anymore! The "template already exists" dialog was shown, and once I click on OK, LIbreOffice crashed. Removing ~/.libreoffice and ~/.config/libreoffice solved the problem.
