opening multiple taps at one time blocks everything

Bug description:
opening multiple tabs at once blocks firefox for several minutes, afterwards
everything seem to be o.k.
very annoying as this happens every time when I try to open several tabs
other open non firefox windows seems to be affected in the same way but not
as long in time
