After upgrade to Lucid-RC, the Network Manager applet no longer shows
available networks.
However, if I disable management of wireless networks in NM, it is
possible to connect with
sudo iwconfig eth1 essid mynetwork key s:asciikey
sudo dhclient eth1
The SSID for the interface shows
