playlist doesn't update when switching artist with foreign name

Binary package hint: rhythmbox
When I want to switch from an artist to another with foreign characters in
name (Japanese), the playlist does not always update and stays with the last
selected artist's songs.
It works with some pairs of foreign artist in one way only too, and it works
when choosins a non-foreign artist name between.
here is an example

It doesn't show anything about that in the console with starting
rhythmbox in terminal with the -d mode
