Title:
Dash: Inconsistent hover/highlight/clickable area behavior
Status in Ayatana Design:
Fix Committed
Status in Unity:
Fix Released
Status in “unity” package in Ubuntu:
Fix Committed
Bug description:
When hovering the category headers, the line gets highlighted over the
whole dash width, but only when hovering the actual category text
(e.g., "Recent Apps See 6 more results >"). It's also only
active in that area, so clicking the highlighted area outside of the
text will do nothing.
However, that's not true for the "Filter" header, which also gets a
highlight when moving the mouse next to the search field. It's also
expandable by clicking anywhere in the highlighted area. Then again,
this is not true for the filter category headers.
Personally, I'd prefer to see the "Filter" header behavior (highlight
when hovering the area that's going to get highlighted, whole
highlighted area active) across all headers.
Running Nux r611 and Unity r2275.

Desired solution:
- If the pointer is over a highlight, left clicking should activate
the highlighted item.
