Bug description:
I mouse dragged a tab from the right of a window to the left.
The first time everything worked fine then immediately afterward, I
did that again without clicking in the document area of any tab. The
cursor became a grab and drag hand, the mouse would move OK, even over
the desktop wallpaper, but moving the mouse or hovering over a new tab
position did not give any feedback that it was ready to drop the tab
into a new position. Unresponsive to any mouse click. Titlebar menu
would not open with a mouse click.
I did control Q and restarted. Everything now fine. All tabs restored.
While writing this report I reproduced the same mouse moves again and
got the same freeze. The freeze occurred after four tab moves in a few
seconds - usually not a problem. I think the critical move is trying
to drop the tab near the top of the document area.
Intel i7 box on Gigabyte MB.
Xfce 4.8 desktop. Ubuntu 11.04 and Firefox 13.0 - all from repository updated
a few days ago. Although urls are probably not relevant, tabs open in this
window were phys.org and medicalxpress.com and this bug reporting page.
