Title: Title and summary are capitalized if from .desktop but not if from package synopsis Status in “software-center” package in Ubuntu: Fix Committed Status in “software-center” source package in Precise: Fix Committed Status in “software-center” source package in Quantal: Fix Committed Bug description: Where they are English phrases (e.g. not package names), software item titles and summaries look best if their first word is capitalized. If the title and summary are derived from a .desktop file, they are already capitalized. If they are from a synopsis, however, Debian policy is that they should *not* have their first word capitalized. <http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/developers-reference/best-pkging-practices.html#bpp-pkg-synopsis> Therefore, Ubuntu Software Center should capitalize them. <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SoftwareCenter?action=diff&rev2=585&rev1=584> [Originally suggested by Brian Murray and Colin Watson.] To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/867588/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : desktop-packages@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
