To clarify: these issues are purely graphical. If I swap to another window or do anything that would cause the screen to "re-draw" then it fixes itself, its just that switching tabs doesnt cause the screen to re-draw.
I originally posted this as a question but was directed here to bug report it. I'm not convinced this is an issue with Gedit itself, but perhaps an issue with my installation. If there is a way to view all packages gedit depends on for drawing, I could re-install them and see if that fixes anything.. They seem to be rendering issues but reproducing them can be difficult as it sometimes works fine. I am using official Nvidia drivers, but switching between official and Ubuntu drivers didnt help. Any help would be much appreciated!
