In previous versions of Ubuntu at this point it was also possible to select an application by browsing to it, eg in this way I could select /usr/bin/avidemux, which currently does not appear in the list of suggested applications even though I have it installed. However, in Ubuntu 12.04 there is no browse option, so it is not possible to choose an application that does not appear in the list. This looks like a regression.
