Title:
  network-manager-applet vanishes randomly

Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: network-manager

Not able to reproduce really. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it isn't.
After update of e.g. kernel image and reboot it's gone.
After logout/in it's there. After hibernate it's gone, next day after start
it's there.
Shows an empty space in notification area, no context menu available,
network-manager is fully functional every time.
I've read description from this bug and will post ps next time. Thanks for
the moment.
