Thanks for the response - I have followed the instructions. There was a crash file in /var/crash but running ubuntu-bug on it resulted in Ubuntu Bug Reporting itself reporting an internal error and offering to submit a crash report for that error, so I was unable to create a new Launchpad bug from the existing crash file.
I then checked my reports on errors.ubuntu.com. There are 50 GNOME shell crash reports corresponding to my previous encounters with this issue. From its timestamp the most recent looks relevant, but following the link results in: "Sorry, you are not a member of a group that is allowed to see the data from error reports. <https://forms.canonical.com/reports/>" So I'm sorry but I cannot access or provide the report details you ask for. The original problem remains reproducible under Wayland and I can confirm that now that I have switched to using an Xorg session the problem has not recurred. Hope that helps John Foster On 17/07/2026 04:49, Daniel van Vugt wrote: > Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make > Ubuntu better.
