Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and help make Ubuntu
better.
I believe this may be an issue with Mutter. Desktop Sharing uses
MIRROR_PRIMARY mode, and g-r-d passes an empty string to mutter's
RecordMonitor() D-Bus method. The mutter handler treats an empty
connector as "use the primary monitor". I am unsure why mutter has not
marked the DP-2 EDID-emulated monitor as primary.
There may also be some bugs in g-r-d, perhaps it could fall back to a
virtual monitor if the primary fails.
