gdk_pixbuf_new_from_stream was removed in Mutter 49.0. And although the
code that replaces it (gly_loader_load) still uses a NULL and error, it
is explicitly documented as populating the error value. This is normal
for GNOME APIs and normal to not need to check the error pointer for
NULL. In this case it seems to have been an oversight in GdkPixbuf only.
While I personally agree with more defensive programming, I know from
experience that upstream GNOME developers would not approve of it in
this particular case.
