You have been subscribed to a public bug:
Using Ubuntu 26.04.
Since 26.04, a login-dialog pops up when a samba-server is clicked
(Nautilus => Network). The problem is that in this dialog, no option for
anonymous login is given. A try of (user) guest / (domain) workgroup /
(password) xxx did not work.
The work-a-round is to enter the share-name in the location-box (in my
case: smb://rpms/muziek), then the usual dialog appears, which has the
option for anonymous login (so it differs from the server-login dialog).
To be clear, before 26.04 you could click on the server, then
immediately the shares are displayed (so no login). Only when a share
was clicked, the login-dialog appears (with the option for anonymous
login). So now, in 26.04 a login-dialog (with no anonymous option)
appears immediately as you click on the server. It is to soon, and b/c
there is no anonymous-option, it is blocking the login-process.
