+ Launching applications may leave the cursor spinning for a long time,

- I'm expecting, when opening gnome-text-editor, the mouse cursor to be
- busy for a very short amount of time.
+ Reproducing this bug may in general require triggering race conditions, so
I'll provide 2 test plans.
+ Test Plan A is a consistent reproducer, although it is rather specific and
not necessarily representative of the full extents of bug.
+ Test Plan B is likely more representative of what users are actually doing
and seeing, but you may not necessarily be able to reproduce the issue on an
affected version of mutter.
- Instead the mouse cursor stays busy for a long period of time, making
- tiling hard. I have tested it both under intel and amd graphics cards.
- Nvidia seems to escape this.

+ 1. Launch any GTK4 application
+ 2. Maximize its window
+ 3. Launch any other application
+ 4. Verify that the cursor starts spinning
+ 5. While waiting for the new window to show up, move the cursor onto the
