That's because since wl_keyboard version 10 key repeat can be handled by the
Wayland server instead of the client, and both mutter and GTK4 implement
wl_keyboard 10 while GTK3 does not.
Apparently key-repeat in mutter was implemented slightly differently than it
was in GTK.
