Public bug reported:
gnome-shell can't log in if run under Valgrind.
I just see some combination of these logged in the journal:

and the Valgrind log reports no errors, just a SIGTERM before main
(doing preloads?).
This is only a problem with the full Ubuntu session (replacing
/usr/bin/gnome-shell). It doesn't happen if I launch it manually in a
VT.
