Public bug reported:
I installed it via: sudo apt update && sudo apt install
gedit-plugin-session-saver
it appears in the Gedit > Preferences > Plugins menu. But when I click on it,
it freezes and wait or Force stop appears.
Not sure if it is a bug or not. I didn't take time to read all the
others, sorry.
I updated from 22.04 to 24.04 a couple of days ago and for the first time
started to create or wanted to with this Laptop was setting up Gedit to keep
several files for example, .php, .js, css etc. files open and available.
And so I just now tried to set up session restore. This old laptop is a Dell
Latitude 7490. P.S. if it has any relevance:
Also I tried ex-mortis from Github first, and it didn't work either but it
worked on my Desktop running 24.04.I didn't try this Plugin (session-restore)
on my desktop computer. I just remembered or was reminded that this plugin
existed earlier today.
I am still looking for a way to resume previous session in Gedit. I may
try installing a Snap or different version of Gedit but I thought I
would take time to post this in case it helps someone else in our Ubuntu
community.
