Binary package hint: gaim
I installed the latest gaim 2.0.0+beta3.1-1ubuntu2 from gaim 1.5. It
removed gaim-meanwhile plugin package as the sametime plugin is now
inside the gaim package. However, the .deb file is missing the plugin,
so I could no longer connect to my IM server.
I downloaded the source package, and built it on my system. It
generated the libsametime.so. I copied it to /usr/lib/gaim/ and now I
can connect to sametime with 2.0.0+beta3.1.
This protocol library should be included by default. Since it built on
my system without changes, I don't know why the official build did not
get it unless that system did not have libmeanwhile-dev installed.
