I have the same problem with the attached pdf on Jaunty:
$ apt-cache policy evince
evince:
Installed: 2.26.1-0ubuntu1
Candidate: 2.26.1-0ubuntu1

Tried also with 2.26.0-0ubuntu1, same effect.
