Running 8.10 on Toshiba Satellite a135-s4527. Same thing here: Thought i needed a new battery but the problem comes and goes. Sometimes i'll only get 30 minutes run and it will shut down and other times it will last the full charge of a little better than an hour. Even when it does last the full charge, gnome power manager reports 118,000 hours and 50 minutes left . . . and i'm pretty sure that's not right.
