On Linux, it would probably be feasible if someone worked on https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30425 first. On other systems, using the OS icons is probably not an option, because: * on Windows, icons tend to be in DLL's and EXE's (not extractable or reliable) * on Mac OS ...
