Follow-up Comment #1:
I've tested this on the latest git, and the graphic for the notehead is not
displayed.
The relevant bit of code is in utils.c:578
cairo_pattern_t *pattern = (cairo_pattern_t *) mask->graphic;
this should cause the notehead glyph to be drawn. (The notehead glyph is
loaded from .../actions/bitmaps/noteheads.s1.svg and similar files, and this
loading appears to happen correctly).
As yet I don't know which version introduced this bug...
(BTW I see that you have no audio and there appears to be an unsuccessful
attempt to load a GTK theme ... I don't see these with my setup)
