Most Weld versions have an issue with serialisation.
This is reproducable by running:
> mvn clean install -PWeld
> -Dtest=MessageContextTest,ConfigurableLocaleMessageTest
in the core-impl module.
If the ConfigurableLocaleMessageTest runs first, then the MessageContextTest
throws up in testSerialisation().
Whether this happens is depending on the JVM, the OS and a good amount of luck
