Here with a debian unstable i386 with xserver-xorg-video-intel and libdr-intel1 just upgraded from experimental (2:2.12.0-1 and 2.4.21-1) I still have [ 7.863194] render error detected, EIR: 0x00000010 [ 7.863201] [drm:i915_handle_error] *ERROR* EIR stuck: 0x00000010, masking [ 7.863216] render error detected, EIR: 0x00000010 I'm waiting to be able to tell you if X is still dying with the batchbuffer error.
