No, it is not kdm dying, as same procedure is with xdm and gdm, too (see my first mail). X-Server is dying, due to the fail of synaptics module. I checked syslog. I can repeat: When starting X manually, everything is working. It crashes only when starting at boot. I suppose, it is a timing problem or has soemthing to do with the order it is started - something that kind.
