So I have now tested with kernel packages linux-image-2.6.26-1-amd64, linux-image-2.6.24-etchnhalf.1-amd64 and linux-image-2.6.18-6-amd64. With all 3 kernel versions I have now seen the problem. Since it also happend with linux-image-2.6.18-6-amd64, I believe we could exclude that the problem is related to a change in kernel.
