This could well be similar to #457233 (your boards are similar) and I
suspect the recent AGP changes in 6.7.197.
Could you go back to earlier versions of xserver-xorg-video-ati using
http://snapshot.debian.net/ ? It would be nice to test some versions on
the 6.7.19x branch, for instance 6.7.196-1. This way, we might locate
where the breakage occured.
