Wen, now that you've adopted pytables (without even daring to reply to the above email), can you fix #547875 ? It's important to have this fixed to let Python 2.6 be uploaded in Debian. It's a very easy bug and I would have expected to see fixed in the adoption upload. Li, since you sponsored the upload, please check the package bugs (along with every other pkg info) to see if some easy & important bugs are left unaddressed and force the sponsoree to do that in the current upload.
