Hello, upstream is performing Debian packages themselves, are strongly collaborating with Ubuntu, and a current GSoC project, by David Wendt, is addressing the respective porting to Debian. It will take anther while, particularly since there is a series of Java packages that needs to be created, still (compare https://wiki.ubuntu.com/EucalyptusInMainSpec). >From what I understand today, the Debian effort will be based on Ubuntu's and >on what upstream provides, hence there is no separation.
