udev-extras has been merged in to udev in the new extras/ subtree with an --enable-extras requirement. The udev-extras tree is now empty:
http://git.kernel.org/?p=linux%2Fhotplug%2Fudev-extras.git A new upload of udev would resolve whatever -extras provided including udev-acl support (which, in turn, depends on ConsoleKit) which is needed for secure access to number of devices.
