According to this post (I haven't checked myself), this is the same version as in linux 2.6.28 (except it can be compiled against previous kernel versions). The 2.6.28 was uploaded yesterday to Debian, we will all benefit from this soon ;-) BTW, I have tested the 1.9 module with success, but I hadn't noticed major problems with the previous releases. Now, the other utilities should be packaged for Debian to make life easier.
