Hello - and A Happy New Year ! ;-)
Please agree with me that writing good quality Linux drivers, for as
much hardware as possible and in "real time", is one of the top
priorities nowdays - no matter what distro one uses.
Ultimately, achieving this leads to increased Linux adoption, more
business for all and less monopoly constraints.
Smolt is meant to be only this:
- a source of reliable hardware information for driver developers, in
real time;
- a marketing tool, intended to show hardware manufacturers that *it
worths* taking into consideration the interests of the expanding Linux
community.
IMHO, "politically", there are very few things more important than the
Linux community having a "single", united voice on this hardware/drivers
matter.
Regards,
Răzvan
