Zfec is a high performance Reed-Solomon erasure coding tool. It is
sponsored by a small start-up company which releases all of their
source code under Free Software licences, with help from random
contributors around the 'Net. It is written in C and comes with C,
Python, and Haskell APIs as well as a command-line tool. The core
erasure code implementation is copied from Luigi Rizzo's long-
standing "fec" library [1] and simplified and optimized.
The project web site, trac, etc. is at http://allmydata.org/trac/
zfec . Version control is darcs -- get the current HEAD of the
project with
darcs get http://allmydata.org/source/zfec/trunk
The copyright is owned by allmydata.com. The source code is released
under your choice of licences: GPL 2 or greater at your option, or
the Transitive Grace Period Public Licence v1. This TGPPLv1 is
intended to be a Free Software licence, but it has not been reviewed
by Debian legal. The statement of "your choice of licences" is in
this file:
