Hi
I don't have any problem with the name of it. sphinxsearch is a good one.
I'll see if I had some time to work on this. Now I'm trying to put packages
working in debian/ubuntu with patches and requesting syncs from debian to ubuntu
when there is a new version.
The ITP's merged are better. I really don't know if they can have two owners.
Thanks

Hi Marco,
As the ITP says, I've got some debs over at launchpad you can look at.
It turns out we might want to file yet-one-more ITP and retire these. I
spoke with Andrew about naming, and there are some other places where it
is being packaged as sphinxsearch (no hyphen) so he's going to make his
default file locations match where debian would want to see stuff... but
prefers that to be based on the sphinxsearch name.
Thoughts on that?
I'm happy to work with you on this.
I'm also working on get the SphinxSE plugin applied to the mysql packages.

Debian packages are being developed out of

deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/pkg-sphinx/ubuntu gutsy main
Monty, Marco, I think you may be working on the same piece of software without
being aware of it. Perhaps you can cooperate.
