Hi,
I intend to orphan the mcl package: I don't have the time to keep
maintaining it.
Currently the package is using debhelper, no patches outside debian/ are
applied: maintenance is easy. A sarge-backport is on backports.org.
The mcl-doc binary package is from the same source, I orphan that too.
I believe there's a new upstream available, btw. Upstream is
responsive. There's a new release about once a year, I believe.
The package description is:
The MCL package is an implementation of the MCL algorithm, and offers
utilities for manipulating sparse matrices (the essential data
structure in the MCL algorithm) and conducting cluster experiments.
.
MCL is currently being used in sciences like biology (protein family
detection, genomics), computer science (node clustering in
Peer-to-Peer networks), and linguistics (text analysis).
