Codeweavers Inc. has offered a free trial version of CrossOver Office for a long time. CxOffice is a non-free enhanced variant of Wine, the Windows emulation layer. There used to be .debs of the old CrossOver Office demo available. I can't find them on the CodeWeavers website.
