Good idea, I talked with Eugeniy about that. Though, I guess the final decision is to the obexserver maintainer. After all, the last real update was 3 years ago (not counting the NMU). Since my NMU on affix, when it propagates to testing, obexserver will be the last user of the old libopenobex-1.0-0 package: $ apt-cache rdepends libopenobex-1.0-0 libopenobex-1.0-0 Reverse Depends: obexserver libopenobex-1.0-0-dev libaffix2 affix By removing obexserver, we can finally get rid of it libopenobex-1.0, too. All other rdepends of that package already moved to libopenobex1. Those users from stable that want to keep it simply do not have to uninstall it. The obexpushd _could_ provide a compatibility shell script (~4 lines) but will _not_ do so, as it will not define Conflicts:, Replaces: or Provides: for obexserver (Eugeniy, I hope that I summarized correctly).
