At least it should. If not i'd fix it. The only thing I used
python-xattr so far is with calendarserver and it works. Do you have any
programs you used python-pyxattr for that you could test python-xattr
against? I just made an upload to experimental so it should show up there
in the next couple of days. Until then you can pull it from:
 git clone http://honk.sigxcpu.org/git/python-xattr/.git/
