Genius is an arbitrary precision integer and multiple precision floating
point calculator. It includes its own programming language similiar in some
aspects to C,bc or pascal. It can deal with rational numbers and complex
numbers. It has matrix support as well. It uses the gmp library so it is
very fast for calculations of large numbers. It has a command line and a
GNOME interface.
What can it do?
* Arbitrary precision ints, multiple precision floats, using all the
power of gmp.
* Rational numbers, stored as quotient and denominator.
* Complex numbers, stored in cartesian coordinates as usual.
* Automatic typing, no need to declare types of variables.
* Math-like-looking expressions, tries to be as much a what you mean is
what Genius understands, up to a limit of course.
* Matrix calculations, with many related functions.
* Modular arithmetic, including inversions and modular arithmetic on
matrices.
* A complete programming language, define your own functions. In fact
larg part of Genius standard library is written in this.
* CAN output matrices in LaTeX or Troff (eqn), this is I think a very
cool feature that allows you to copy stuff directly from the Genius
console
to a document in LaTeX or troff. I in fact use this even to just enter
matrices into documents to begin with.
* A plugin interface, not yet really used.

Bug Tracking System.
I'm closing your bug because of the following reasons:
- It is older than 600 days old.
- It haven't had any activity recently.
- The amount of ITPs on the Debian BTS is huge and we need to
clean up a bit the place.
If your bug shouldn't be closed, you are more than free to re-open it,
for example, if you still have intentions to package the software in
question or the like. To re-open it, you simply have to mail

Replacing '123456' for the number of your ITP bug. The subject of the
mail is ignored. Or if you have any kind of problems when dealing with

This is the first mass wnpp closing that will be done. The next close
will be done on inactive ITPs older than 450 days and finally, the
ones older than 365 days (an automatic script will close *inactive*
ITPs when they reach one year old).
A similar process will be applied to the RFP wnpp bugs in the next
days.
