I did a try to package this software and saw this in the INSTALL file:
- Error in wxImage or wxString expressions :
* Make sure your wxGTK has been compiled without Unicode support
(You need to pass --disable-unicode to wx's configure script)
This will be a problem since libwxgtk2.5 is built with unicode (for a good
reason).
More things I noticed are that the most libraries have seperated debian
packages like libsoundtouch1-dev & libsndfile1-dev. libportaudio has an
ITP at bug #269925, but is also staticly linked at audacity.
