I no longer have the time to package new upstream versions, fix the problems that are pending and find a girlfriend... But, thanks to the many help from other Debian folks, the Snort packages have become what they are today. In comparison to the packages in stable, quite an improvement! Now I need someone with bright, new ideas, a view for the future and some spare time. So that's probably someone who is married. ;)) The package has a lot of bugs assigned to it, but alot of these bugs are fixed in the current Sid packages and are maintained purely for archiving purposes. The 'Serious Policy Violation' bug is caused by changed Build-Depends. First one to reply to this post on this list takes the packages! :) Thanks, Sander. --=20 | One tequila, two tequila, three tequila, floor. | 1024D/08CEC94D - 34B3 3314 B146 E13C 70C8 9BDB D463 7E41 08CE C94D --TakKZr9L6Hm6aLOc Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name="signature.asc" Content-Description: Digital signature Content-Disposition: inline -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.5 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFBG7wy1GN+QQjOyU0RAoLqAJsHnPsNcasmCBRwmES98t2OkSbaBQCdGeqW 8UoLtYTnkbTrm9LjhLr9nIg= =kyHd -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --TakKZr9L6Hm6aLOc-- --------------------------------------- Received: (at 265343-close) by bugs.debian.org; 17 Sep 2004 18:38:31 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Sep 17 11:38:31 2004 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from newraff.debian.org [208.185.25.31] (mail) by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1C8Nct-0001yF-00; Fri, 17 Sep 2004 11:38:31 -0700 Received: from katie by newraff.debian.org with local (Exim 3.35 1 (Debian)) id 1C8NWm-0002Lj-00; Fri, 17 Sep 2004 14:32:12 -0400 From: Javier Fernandez-Sanguino Pen~a <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Katie: $Revision: 1.51 $ Subject: Bug#265343: fixed in snort 2.2.0-2 Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sender: Archive Administrator <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Fri, 17 Sep 2004 14:32:12 -0400 Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2004_03_25 X-Spam-Level: Source: snort Source-Version: 2.2.0-2 We believe that the bug you reported is fixed in the latest version of snort, which is due to be installed in the Debian FTP archive: snort-common_2.2.0-2_i386.deb to pool/main/s/snort/snort-common_2.2.0-2_i386.deb snort-doc_2.2.0-2_all.deb to pool/main/s/snort/snort-doc_2.2.0-2_all.deb snort-mysql_2.2.0-2_i386.deb to pool/main/s/snort/snort-mysql_2.2.0-2_i386.deb snort-pgsql_2.2.0-2_i386.deb to pool/main/s/snort/snort-pgsql_2.2.0-2_i386.deb snort-rules-default_2.2.0-2_all.deb to pool/main/s/snort/snort-rules-default_2.2.0-2_all.deb snort_2.2.0-2.diff.gz to pool/main/s/snort/snort_2.2.0-2.diff.gz snort_2.2.0-2.dsc to pool/main/s/snort/snort_2.2.0-2.dsc snort_2.2.0-2_i386.deb to pool/main/s/snort/snort_2.2.0-2_i386.deb A summary of the changes between this version and the previous one is attached.
