It's pretty much in good shape for Sarge, no problem there. It's just that the bug list is getting too long, and there are some patches/ideas out there which would make it easier to use dpatch. It's not a big deal if those don't make it into Sarge. (Later, when people start to depened on those features, yet want to backport their packages, backporting dpatch is trivial; just copy it from unstable :)
