Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Section: contrib/utils Priority: optional Description: Linux bootloader for OldWorld PowerMac computers miBoot is loaded at boot by the MacOS ROM present in OldWorld PowerMac computers, as a fake MacOS "System" file. . Unlike quik, miBoot isn't loaded directly at the OpenFirmware stage, and can be used to create boot floppies. You will need an HFS partition if you wand to use it from a hard disk. It's mostly non-interactive and won't let you edit kernel arguments on boot.
miBoot itself is licensed under the GPL, but it depends on proprietary software to be built from source. I've primarily packaged this for building OldWorld PowerMac d-i floppy disks. sources.list snippet: deb http://sprite.fr.eu.org/dist/debian ./ deb-src http://sprite.fr.eu.org/dist/debian ./ -- Jeremie Koenig <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
