The core component is gst-validate-2.0, an integration testing framework that monitors GStreamer pipelines to ensure elements behave correctly according to framework rules. It provides automated validation of element interactions, segment handling, and buffer flow, with detailed reporting of issues from minor to critical severity. Additional tools include gst-debug-viewer for visualizing debug information, gst-dots-viewer for pipeline graph visualization, and tracer analysis tools for performance monitoring and debugging. This package contains the tools and pipeline plugins. The tools will be useful for running automated testing against an installed version of GStreamer, as well as be useful to anyone developing GStreamer plugins on Debian. It will be maintained by the Maintainers of GStreamer packages <[email protected]>. Already many GStreamer subprojects are included within this team, and intention to package this has existed before these efforts. As this is my first contribution to Debian, I will need a sponsor.
