Hi,

I'm interested in packaging this program.

* License         : MIT
  Programming Lang: golang
  Description : A tool for exploring each layer in a docker image

 - wagoodman/dive (docker-dive) is a TUI / ncurses tool to explore
   docker images to better define Bill of Materials and identify
   unncessary waste within each image layer
 - I'm looking for a sponsor.  I can be sponsored-maintainer. In
   time, I can take full-maintainer duties
 - Here are other similarly-named package requests
   -  dive https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1089012

I think you meant https://bugs.debian.org/726779. But given this ITP has been stale since 2013, and that other distributions chose to use "dive" for the current package [1], I think it should be the one named "dive" instead of "docker-dive".

 - An autogenerated Deb package exists & some early work was done to
   prepare for deb. I plan to work with those folks to include
   docker-dive in the next stable release
   - https://github.com/wagoodman/dive/issues/62

Upstream Debian packages are usually not made the same way as we do them in Debian, so we will probably have to make one from scratch and package the (few) missing dependencies.
