I am minded to adopt this package. It is worth noting, as mentioned [1] in the previous orphaning bug (#335790), that the upstream is also abandoned. The upstream version 0.99, which was pulled in by the original upstream author as downstream maintainer, was never tagged in CVS or published in the upstream publishing locations (version 0.98 was the last that was properly presented). I have identified the CVS state that corresponds to this upstream version (it is not quite the HEAD). It would be nice to publish a restored upstream in git: a number of bugs will require code changes to fix and it would be better if these could be represented in their natural form in a git repository rather than exclusively as Debian patches. We could convert this into a native package but my preference would be for a restored upstream.
