Hello Mr. Germann,
It turns out I use gumbo-parser, and I am willing to maintain it.
I have forked the salsa repo to
https://salsa.debian.org/ricorambo/gumbo-parser, where my changes
are (new upstream versions and minor packaging improvements).
I have decided to import another upstream
(https://codeberg.org/grisha/gumbo-parser) according to the
recommendation of Mr. Kirillov (the upstream maintainer), which I
preferred to the idea of Mr. Lefevre to follow sigil-gumbo.
However, it turns out that Mr. Kirillov bumped the shared library
version in the last release. I changed the binary package name
accordingly (libgumbo1 to libgumbo2), along with the symbols file,
but since I am only Debian Maintainer
(DC184C7074DC4FD338D86CF97E32B4D596D6F8F6), I don't think I will
be able to upload (If I'm not mistaken, the package will have to
go through NEW because of the new libgumbo2 binary package). Would
it be possible for you to upload my changes to the archive (if you
agree with them, of course) ?
If you grant me access to the salsa repo, I'll push my changes to
it.
And if you give me upload rights to the package as well, I'll be
able to push future upstream releases to the archive without
having to bother you again (except if the shared library gets
renamed again, ofc).
Thank you very much in advance.
Best,
Aymeric Agon-Rambosson
